What is Economic Tourism and Know-how Week?
Brittany has numerous companies whose know-how is recognized in all areas: crafts, industry, sustainable agriculture, culture, events, services, transport, environment... For two weeks, during the All Saints' Day holidays, Economic Tourism and Know-How Week offers residents and tourists the opportunity to (re)discover the know-how of local companies, of all sizes and all sectors (industrialists, artisans, local producers, etc.) during company visits, participatory workshops, tastings…
Meeting passionate professionals
The Economic Tourism and Know-How Week is above all an opportunity to discover the variety of the economic fabric of Fougères Agglomération which contributes to the dynamism of the territory. From October 23 to November 5, 2023, 19 companies from various sectors of activity exceptionally open their doors to you : agri-food, crafts, industry, culture, leisure and heritage, printing, brewery and local products... During guided tours, sometimes followed by tastings or participatory workshops, you will be able to see behind the scenes and meet women and passionate men who promote local know-how. A total of 72 visit slots are offered to you.
Unprecedented discoveries and encounters
Among the companies to discover, many gems of the Pays de Fougères economy: Hotelys in Fougères, leader in the manufacturing of bedding, Otima Industries in La Selle-en-Luitré, specialist in sheet metal processing. Organic Value Salting in Louvigné-du-Désert, wholesaler of 100% organic pork.
But also many talented craftsmen, like La Maison Tirot in Romagné, the last French manufacturer of navigable wooden toy boats and the watchmaking workshop-museum old in Fougères. But also beer brewers and craftsmen with unique know-how. As well as local producers, associations promoting the heritage and working memory of the shoe and glassmaking industry and actors in the social and solidarity economy.

Minimum age, accessibility and specific recommendations depend on each company, please consult the program for all the details. Some tours require a minimum number of registrants for the tour to take place. The organization reserves the right to combine certain slots to allow the visit to continue.
