Le Circuit of the Balcons de Fougères is the best way to discover all the points of view of the the medieval heart of the village. This 7km walk will guide you from Fougeres Castle in the Medieval Quarter, witness to the local know-how, up to the Upper Town with its artisan workshops and the Belfry passing by the unmissable spot to take your most beautiful photos of Fougères from the belvedere of the Jpublic garden.

For those in a hurry, know that the most beautiful panoramas are also accessible within a 10-minute walk from the Fougeres Castle . Spin up to " Butte-a-Bigot » and let yourself be transported by the exotic turquoise of Lac du Rocher-Coupe, former quarry now protected to preserve the natural habitat of a peregrine falcon…

Le Saut-Roland, a legendary view of the forest

Famous for the medieval legend linked to Chevalier Roland, prefect of the Marches de Bretagne who succeeded in accomplishing two jumps of more than 100 meters between two rocks and whose third attempt was fatal, the cliffs of Jump-Roland culminate at 173 meters in a prodigious chaos of rocks buried in the forest.
A walk of about 45 minutes will allow you to enjoy the view of the valley and the Saint-Blaise River.
