Step 2: Glassmakers’ workshop

In the company of Loïc, Maurice and Alain, come and discover the glassmakers' workshop where these 3 enthusiasts will take you back in time by presenting the history of the important glassmaking activity present for more than 3 centuries in the Pays de Fougères. Demonstrations of bead making, sandblasting and mirror engraving by members of the association “Les Amis des verriers du Pays de Fougères” in the town of Laignelet.

Step 4: Mellé, Sustainable and flowery Village

Lucile welcomes you to Mellé, this pretty town where granite is omnipresent on the walls, in the landscape and in nature. She invites you to discover a film in Super 8 format shot in 1982 which retraces the life and difficult work of the “Picaous”, these stone workers who extracted, cut and polished granite, the most important mineral resource in the region “Cut and polished granite”. To end this visit, your guide offers you an urban stroll in this “Bourg Jardin”****. Here, the plant meets the mineral and the heritage is revealed between flowery meadows, planters and flowerbeds for your greatest happiness.
