Description

In the land of granite, the people of Louvigné have anchored their traditions, cults and beliefs in the rocks and in the stone of the aedigies. Along this route, you will pass many chapels and mission crosses before returning to the church of Louvigné.
The high point of the walk, the St Guillaume rock, also testifies to the role of granite as a support and means of expressing beliefs: the shapes of the rock have inspired many legends. It's up to you to invent your own!

Your itinerary

Getting to the starting pointto report a problem

Step 1: Plcae bochin/ st Jean chapel/ people's house

Meet at Place Bochin, behind the Town Hall. Take Rue Auvraie. You pass in front of the St Jean chapel. Then go down rue St Martin.

Step 2: Chapel of Our Lady of Planty

At the planty, turn left and cross the departmental road. Go back to the left and then the small path to the right which will take you on the paths around the wood and to the chapel of Notre Dame du Planty

Step 3: Rocher St Guillaume

Go around the wood and you will discover the St Guillaume rock, climb its steps to discover the site and resume the course.

Step 4: The fremondière

Then turn left to find the “frémondière”. At the intersection turn left to join the Loriais then take the greenway.

Step 5: Church in Priory Square

Shortly after the bridge you will leave the greenway by a staircase on your left which will bring you back to your starting point.
