Route details
Description
In the country of granite, you will pass in front of many chapels and mission crosses, all along this route. Erected from 1540, the chapel of St-Jean was used as a barn, then as a prison during the Revolution. The high point of the walk, the rock of St Guillaume is nestled in an undergrowth. The legend says that Saint-Guillaume lived in this place for seven years and that we find sculpted in the rock, the washhouse, the bowl, the fountain and the bed of the hermit.
At the start of the loop you will find an information panel, parking and toilets.
This walk is part of a selection of the “Most beautiful walks” of the department, produced by the Ille-et-Vilaine Tourist Development Agency.
