Legend has it that Knight Roland, nephew of Charlemagne and prefect of Marches of Brittany had returned to defend the Empire from the resistant Bretons. He wanted to cross the site by jumping on horseback from one rock to another. He dedicated the first jump to God, the second to the Virgin Mary and the third to his lady, which was fatal to him!

The shadow of the unfortunate Roland still hangs over this territory through many clues such as the mark of the horseshoe on the famous rock where his steed staggered and caused them to fall to the bottom of the ravine, but also the famous "dripping stone" who relentlessly distills the tears of eternal sorrow of his beloved.
It is also said that in this place, under the stone, which can only be moved on the morning of St. John's Day, with the help of a hazel wand, hides the entrance to a palace of marvelous riches. Woe to those who would enter and seize it, a dragon watches over the treasure !
