Stretching from the south of Fougères to the charming, characterful town of Bazouges-la-Pérouse, this departmental route offers a picturesque route. The VD9, like other routes of this type, runs along quiet, small roads. However, some sections feature significant elevation changes, particularly around Bazouges-la-Pérouse and between Saint-Ouen-des-Alleux and Saint-Marc-sur-Couesnon. As a result, this route is recommended for experienced, athletic cyclists, and less suitable for beginners, those with little experience, or those carrying heavy loads.
