Your itinerary
Stage 1: Parcé, La Granjagoul
The commune of Parcé becomes the capital of Pays Gallo each year with the organization of a regional festival of traditional music. For a weekend, bouezous, contous and disous come together to celebrate Welsh culture! Since 2010, the intangible heritage of Upper Brittany has had its home here: Granjagoul. Through a varied program over the year, it supports, promotes and disseminates Welsh culture to the general public. Do not hesitate to visit them ! They are located rue de la Bascule, just across the road!
Stage 2: Parcé, Les Dérouaries
Discreet in the landscape, the Dérouaries manor sits here in the village of the same name since the 17th century. It consists of a rectangular building with two square attic floors with two slopes covered with slate. The facade was completely redesigned in the 19th century (drilling of openings arranged in bays). On the rear facade is placed a half turret which houses the staircase distributing the different levels of the building.
Stage 3: The Jaunouse Landes natural area
Sensitive Natural Area managed by the General Council of Ille-et-Vilaine, the Landes de Jaunouse presents a mosaic of environments made up of woods, moors, wet meadows and peat bogs which are home to exceptional flora and fauna. “Jaunouse” takes its name from the yellow color of the many broom and gorse that bloom in the spring on the site. In order to preserve the balance and biodiversity of this site, its upkeep has been entrusted to mule horses from Poitou and Highland Cattle cows! This is called eco-pastoralism. An interpretation trail allows you to enter the heart of this natural space and discover all its riches.
Stage 4: Bourg de Combourtillé
The town of Combourtillé developed from 1850 mainly along the road which linked Fougères to Vitré. Since the end of the 18th century, the number of inhabitants has changed little. There were 506 inhabitants in 1793 and 593 in 2012. Note the facade of the town hall, it is adorned with an iron French flag, which is rare. Indeed, metal flags were gradually replaced by canvas flags at the end of the 19th century. The artist who made this flag under Napoleon III gave it the appearance of canvas shaken by the wind. Its buildings stand out in the landscape: the Valorex group, located in the town, produces food based on traced whole seeds (flax, lupine, peas, rapeseed, horse bean, etc.) for more than 20 farms, from Brittany to to the 000 corners of the world. It is a particularly innovative major player serving the agricultural and agri-food sectors.
Step 5: Billé, The Flies
The legend tells that in 1904, at the time of the separation of the Church and the State, some parishioners of Billé want to prevent the inventory of the goods of the church. They then place beehives behind one of the doors of the church. (The large door surmounted by an escutcheon). Since then, we talk with humor of "Billé les Mouches". Notice in front of the church, at the crossroads, a very pretty wrought iron gate which recalls this story.
