Distance:12,5 km
Your itinerary
Step 1: Notre-Dame Church
Freshly restored after a terrible fire in 2016, the Notre-Dame church, open to the public, has regained all its splendor. Its vault offers bright blue and yellow ocher colors and on the beams, 3 pairs of “goulants” in the shape of crocodiles have been sculpted. Modern furniture in gilded wood and a contemporary stained glass window bring a modern touch to the whole.
Step 2: The Landemarais peat bog
Protected and developed by the Department, the Landemarais peat bog is an exceptional natural site. Over 26 hectares, remarkable species have been able to adapt to very hostile living conditions. Classified as a “Peatland of National Interest”, the site is one of the three unique raised peatlands in Brittany.
Step 3: The old Villamée station
In the village of La Bouëxière there was once the so-called “Villamée” station located on the old Fougères-Vire railway line and in service until 1972. Barrier guard house, passenger station and even passenger shelter, everything could have been preserved!
Step 4: The Bois Guy castle and golf course
The Bois Guy castle and golf course is an exceptional site for sportsmen and lovers of beautiful stones. It has all the infrastructure to accommodate high-level sports clubs. Its 9-hole golf course, with a view of the castle and 100% sustainable, offers a mix of wooded and technical holes. (1 km round trip)
Step 5: The Acres Manor
Of the old Château des Acres, capital of the lordship of Parigné, all that remains today is an outbuilding remodeled in the 18th century. Renamed Manoir des Acres, it retains a pointed arch door whose tympanum contains a shield and an uncrowned polygonal turret.
